Jeff Rosen of Wolfire Games was struck with the idea of
creating a pay-what-you-want, cross platform video game download model. The
idea became a reality in May of 2010 with the release of the Humble Indie
Bundle. The Bundle was a collection of indie video games sold online at a price
determined by the purchasers.
Subsequent bundles with the same model have been released
for the past three years. Recently a new program called The Humble Weekly Sale
Began. The Sale features two to three video games a week that can be downloaded
for any price. Customers can choose how to divide up the money they pay for the
games between charities, the game developers, and the Humble Bundle crew.
As you can imagine this is an excellent opportunity for
students on a low budget to enjoy some really great games! You can pay as little or as much as you want for some very high quality games. Head on over to the Humble Mumble, the Humble Bundle blog, to check
out the latest sales. +Humble Bundle
